2) Lift and Slide Patio Doors
Traditional Sliding Patio doors start to get a bit heavy and cumbersome over a certain size. We mostly install the Reynaers lift and slide product that involves rotating a large lever handle which gently lifts the door sash onto a well engineered wheeled bogie. You can literally push these doors with two fingers and are ideal for larger span doors (where you divide the space into at least one less pane giving more glass and less frame) or for those customers that would struggle with the weight of a standard system.
We also install their triple track product where each pane in a 3 part door can be opened independently giving you lots more flexibility on how you want them open.
We supply and install several types of Bi-Fold and Patio Doors:
1) Aluminium Bi-fold doors
Each door panel is usually about 1 metre wide and allows the entire door to be opened - either side, stacking inside or outside the house. Typically, a 3 metre wide door will have 3 panels - 3 panes of glass and 3 individual frames around that glass. In the closed position, you will obviously see more frames and less glass than the aluminium slider option but the slider doesn't let you open up the entire aperture. We recommend that doors stack outside the house so that they don't encroach on your space. They are available in standard white, jet black and anthracite grey but we can supply and RAL colour to order which involves powder coating the frames in an additional process.
